Writing about the stereotypical traits of Taurus reminded me of when I was first delving into astrology. I remember feeling a bit jittery about saying stuff like “Aries is a bit self-absorbed,” or “Taurus is all about the material life,” “Gemini’s got a mind like a whirlwind,” “Cancer’s got that clingy vibe,” “Leo’s all about themselves,” “Virgo’s forever nitpicking,” “Libra can’t make a decision to save their life,” “Scorpio’s a tad intense,” “Sagittarius blows everything out of proportion,” “Capricorn wants to control everything,” “Aquarius is like a robot,” and “Pisces, well, they’re just swimming in emotions.”
However, this is the essence of astrology. It’s also what makes it so enjoyable. One can feel apprehensive about listing these traits, fearing backlash. Yet, most people understand that astrology defines these traits, both positive and negative. I used to be cautious about expressing these ideas, afraid of causing offense. But in reality, we’re discussing archetypes. Individuals resonate with what resonates with them, and it’s all part of our growth and evolution as we embody the characteristics of our signs.
Many people find this aspect of astrology fun, and it’s not comprehensive if we only highlight the positive aspects; true awareness requires acknowledging both sides. And let’s not forget, many of us can laugh about our sign’s traits, showing a sense of humor and self-awareness. So, don’t fret too much about it.
We’re all evolving, growing, and embodying the best and, let’s be real, sometimes the worst aspects of our signs.
And let’s be honest, astrology would be dull as dishwater without a sprinkle of drama. It’s not the full picture if we’re just painting everything with rainbows and butterflies, is it?
