An Astrological Analogy

Astrology and a Packet of Garden Seeds The natal chart is basically a map of potential. Like the picture on a packet of garden seeds, it shows what you might become. The Contemporary Astrologer’s Handbook (Astrology Now) Fate and Free Will – Map to Birmingham or Kalahari Desert Perhaps the best way of viewing the fate and free will question is to turn to the subjects of maps. After all, the birth chart is quite literally a map for a […]

Grand Fire Trine

Those with Grand Fire Trines must be darn happy. For one thing, Louis Armstrong, who liked to sing about it being a Wonderful World, could not stop smiling. The star had a kite formation in his chart, and this is just really an extension of a grand trine but seems to anchor the direction of the trine. The grand trine is formed with his Sun in Leo, Moon in Aries, and Uranus in Sagittarius. The Sun in Leo is in […]

The Grand Trine

A Grand Trine is a triangular aspect pattern involving three or more planets separated by an angle of 120 degrees each. The planets in the signs are in the same triplicity and due to the harmonious nature of the trine aspect, the planets cooperate in an easy flowing manner. According to traditional textbooks, this aspectual pattern is seen as an extremely fortunate asset, implicating special talents, favorable circumstances, and pretty good opportunities. The various theories of the Grand Trine configuration […]

I have all of Liz Greene’s books and always look forward to reading all her work. Most of her books contain seminars that have been published. Killed by Lightning

In astrology, Uranus rules sudden shocks and signifies the urge to understand the overall pattern in our lives acting as a bolt of lightning, jolting us wide awake. For study and research purposes I examined the natal charts of those struck by lightning and killed, to see how Uranus figures in these charts. Prometheus (Uranus) the awakener is a powerful player here in both transit and natally. Before we proceed, however, it should be said that this post isn’t about […]

Saturn in the 1st House

An individual with Saturn in the 1st house often experiences feelings of personal frustration around expressing themselves fully to others. There is a resistance to exposure to their environment, and it is common for Saturn here to be fearful of meeting new people and entering new situations. More than any other placement of Saturn, shyness, lack of self-assurance, and difficulty in self-assertion is expressed more obviously. The type is, therefore, vulnerable to attack by others and they may have suffered […]

Uranus square Pluto

Here I talked about Uranus moving into Aries in this article Uranus in Aries Wake up Call.¬†However there is a more descriptive article of this transit that I found completely enlightening. “2012 is approaching, and along with it are all the many predictions and implications surrounding 2012. What do we believe? What can we expect? Some say Armageddon is nigh. Others say that the earth is going through a transformational shift where our planet, society will be so different from […]

Enemies of Reason

I am quite addicted to watching Skeptics justify why “Sun sign” astrology doesn’t work. Scientists are reluctant to take a closer look at this “pseudo” science, and only scratch on the surface when discussing Sun signs. To be honest, some skeptics have stretched their thinking beyond Sun signs, but the majority of “Scientists” still get the old newspaper column out. According to Cosmic Citizen article (excellent blog), we mirror each other in some uncomfortable ways, and we view each other […]

Neptune in the 4th House

When Neptune is in the 4th house it is placed in the personal space of the horoscope and represents the inner feelings, but it also has a linkage to the past, family, and close relatives. Hence, the hazy mist of Neptune surrounds the home, and so the early roots of life don’t always provide a solid base. This can reveal itself in a variety of ways for this individual, and often the home can be chaotic and disorganized, especially with […]
