Unconscious Uranus Themes in a Woman’s Relationships
The Uranus-themed aspects in relationships bring to mind a particular aspect, which, according to Liz Greene, remains unconscious in my chart. I’ve got this heavy inclination to keep people happy. There’s a noticeable desire towards people-pleasing in me; I derive satisfaction from ensuring others’ happiness. However, due to the Mars in Aquarius square Uranus aspect in my 3rd house, a rebellious streak emerges, rejecting conformity and niceness. This defiance operates subtly in my personality but surfaces when projected onto men. This rebellious streak? It’s like my hidden alter ego. It remains subdued in my personality but can come alive in a man.
Picture a maverick spirit, challenging norms, and injecting a dose of unpredictability. In this dynamic, the man becomes a catalyst for change, encouraging the woman to break free from conventional expectations and adopt a more unconventional approach to life. There’s an exciting dance between spontaneity and transformation, as the man’s Uranian influence brings a refreshing twist to her journey, urging her to explore uncharted territories and redefine the boundaries of her personal and relational experiences.
He becomes her guide in embracing a more carefree and liberated spirit, teaching her the art of not caring too much about what others think. She finds this lesson fascinating because it introduces her to a realm she’s never dared to explore before. Under his influence, she learns to break free from societal expectations and revel in the joy of authenticity, discovering a newfound courage to chart her own course without being weighed down by external judgments. It’s a transformative journey guided by his liberating perspective, and she begins to savor the exhilarating freedom that comes with embracing her true self.
Uranus in relationships, especially for certain women, can be a breath of fresh air, offering them an opportunity to live life on their own terms. For those who have been accustomed to people-pleasing and operating in a world defined by rules and boundaries, a Uranian man can serve as a liberating force. Despite initial apprehension or fear, there’s a deep fascination with the freedom and authenticity he embodies. It’s a chance for these women to break away from societal constraints, explore uncharted territories, and discover the empowering joy of living authentically, even if it stirs up a mix of emotions in the process.
While these women are fully capable of forging their paths independently, sometimes, significant shifts and revelations come in the form of teachers or figures in our lives. The Uranian man, in this context, serves as a catalyst and guide, offering a unique perspective and lessons that empower these women to explore new dimensions of themselves. It’s a collaborative dance between personal strength and the influence of transformative connections, leading to a richer, more authentic life experience.
As a woman, one can fully express Uranus or, alternatively, observe if it is manifesting through their partnerships.
Here are snippets from my astrology report from the Astrodienst website, teasingly cutting off like a Uranian:
“The world of human relationship means everything to you, and the feelings of others are primary on the scale of your values. Yet you are often caught in a conflict between your need for warmth and closeness with others, and your need for privacy, space and the freedom to pursue your own interests – which often involve abstract concepts quite divorced from human reality. You have great compassion for the problems of others, and may often find yourself playing the role of the good mother or father…Everyone is worthwhile to you on some level and you enjoy meeting all kinds of people in all sorts of situations – on trains and planes, in cafes and restaurants, and wherever a few exchanges of ordinary conversation convey to you the experience that you have a relationship…Faced with having to make an important choice that must spring solely from your own heart, and without this support from the collective, you are inclined to dither, procrastinate and wait until the problem goes away or solves itself or the other person solves it for you…This hidden dimension of your personality contains all those qualities which you have excluded or repressed from your conscious values and behaviour in order to preserve your network of friendships and your feeling of security within your peer group. The unconscious shadow-side…Although no man or woman is an island, you do your best to be at least a peninsula. You are initially difficult to get to know, and others can spend years working in proximity to you without ever really glimpsing your true thoughts and feelings. Even those closest to…You are a naturally gregarious person, eager to blend with and belong to a larger human family; but you are intrigued by those men who can express their own individual vision with apparent confidence and a brazen disregard for public opinion. Such a relationship can be very good for you, since your understanding and need of people can help to provide a bridge for the deep loneliness of an eccentric and original spirit; and he in turn has much to offer you as an example of courage….You may be occasionally prone, as everyone is, to idealised fantasies of love; but you are not romantic enough to ignore your need for challenge, conflict and the occasional good fiery quarrel in your close relationships. Something in you is sexually sparked only when…”
If you happen to be a woman of impeccable behavior and virtue (just like me, no laughter, please), and your partner or potential lover embodies a Uranian spirit with a rebellious edge against life, hailing from the wrong side of the tracks, I’ve taken the liberty of finding movies that explore these themes for our astro-homework.
